Everyone including my son and daughter are going on about 3G this 3G that, can someone tell what is 3G Technology?

3G constitutes the third generation of tele standards and technology for mobile networking, replacing 2.5G. It’s founded on the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) family of standards under the IMT-2000.[1]

IEEE 802.11 networks are short range, high-bandwidth networks chiefly built up for data.
